Mr Bogdanski, why did you become a property manager?
I really enjoy being a property manager because it's a great pleasure to work with owners to design and maintain properties. I've always worked in my mother's property management company since I started university, so I've got to know all facets of property management from the ground up. I was able to react to burst pipes, fires, storm damage and everything that can surprise you in the day-to-day running of a property management company in an increasingly level-headed - and yet no less energetic - way. As an administrator, I can avoid future conflicts and save a lot of resources by making clever, forward-looking arrangements. As a lawyer, this very fruitful and fulfilling ‘reality’ and legal structuring is often much shorter. As an administrator, I deal with an enormous range of people on a daily basis, which is challenging, but very often also enriching and a lot of fun. And our owners and tenants are also pleased when they know that we will deal with their concerns quickly.
Why are you a good property manager?
Our owners are the best judge of whether we are good. Thanks to the lack of bureaucracy, we as a family team are very quick and yet considered and calm. In the event of conflicts, for example in condominium owners' associations, we very often succeed in mediating and pointing out the disadvantages of confrontational maximum demands. People inspire us and properties and neighbourhoods are always very special. It is precisely this diversity that gives us pleasure, which is often evident in our daily work. We are often thanked for our quick approach and good ideas.
What drives you?
The intensive dialogue with a wide variety of people inspires me.
What makes you angry and what makes you happy, Mr Bogdanski?
I am annoyed by misanthropy, racism, meaningless bureaucracy and intellectual inflexibility. Unfortunately, you come across all this from time to time, but very often you manage to emphasise the advantages of solutions. As a cyclist and mountain hiker, I can also be very persistent and tenacious (laughs)!
I am always very happy to meet curious, humorous and courageous people with backbone all over the world and I like to laugh a lot.
I am always amazed and fascinated by people, nature and culture in all its facets all over the world.
